HOW TO AVOID FUTURE SINS

1) Attend daily Mass or as frequently as possible and receive the Body of Christ. This will help to destroy sin in the soul and give the soul tremendous power to overcome all temptation. The devil hates people who go to Mass every day because his power is very limited against these people. The power of Christ is so great. SEE: BENEFITS OF THE MASS. "If we knew the value of the Mass we would die of joy."--St. Jean Vianney

2) Go to confession once a month. This will bring forgiveness and destroy sin in the soul.

3) Pray many decades of the Rosary every day throughout the week. Great devotion to the Virgin Mary leads to great holiness. "The rosary is the most powerful weapon to touch the Heart of Jesus, Our Redeemer, who so loves His Mother."---St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort. And in the book, TRUE DEVOTION TO MARY, St. Louis says: "When the Holy Ghost, her Spouse, has found Mary in a soul, He flies there. He enters there in His fullness; He communicates Himself to that soul abundantly, and to the full extent to which it makes room for His spouse."

4) Have Holy Water with you throughout the day. This is a tremendous shield against the attacks of the devil. Remember the devil's goal is to steal your soul away from God and pull you into Hell for all eternity. Any weapon which would keep the devil away is worth using. "From long experience I have learned that there is nothing like holy water to put devils to flight and prevent them from coming back again."--St. Teresa of Avila.

5) Read the Bible or the lives of Saints in your spare time. This will guide the soul toward Christ. Read Anne Catherine Emmerich's account of the Passion and sufferings of Christ.

6) Avoid watching a lot of television and videos. Be very selective about the shows you watch. The devil will use this media to influence the soul to sin. AVOID THE NEAR OCCASIONS OF SIN. Many sins could be avoided by simply avoiding watching shows that are immoral, avoiding places where there is lot of immorality. The devil uses places of temptation to trip us up.
